Festus Crawley Conley age 81 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2013 at Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville, KY, after an illness.

Funeral services will be Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with Bro. Payton Slavens officiating. Burial will be in Modoc Cemetery. Visitation is 12pmCT/1pmET-9pmCT/10pmET, Saturday, September 21, 2013, at the funeral home.

She was born on Thursday, September 24, 1931 in Cumberland County, KY. She was the daughter of the late James H. (Jim) Crawley and Alma Nation Crawley. She passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2013 in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 81 years, 11 months, and 26 days.

She was a member of Sexton Fork Baptist Church, a homemaker, and part time employee of Cumberland County Hospital.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Conley; one brother, J.H. "Foots" Crawley; one brother-in-law, Martin Thrasher; and one nephew, Ronnie Thrasher.

Survivors include:
  • One daughter: Sharon Pickens and her husband Jeff of Burkesville, KY

  • One granddaughter: Chelsey Ann Pickens of Burkesville, KY

  • Two sisters: Jamah Thrasher of Burkesville, KY, and Stella Cross and her husband Lloyd of Burkesville, KY

  • One brother: Truesdale Crawley and his wife Pat of Burkesville, KY

  • Five nieces:Ronda Chandler and her husband Delbert of Tompkinsville, KY, Tammy Watson of Celina, TN, Jennifer Crawley of Louisville, KY, Laura Riley and her husband Terry of Burkesville, KY, and Emily Crawley

  • Three nephews; Dale Cross, Patrick Crawley, and John Crawley Six great neices

  • Five great nephews

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
