Michael Carter, age 54 of Louisville, KY passed away on Monday, September 16, 2013.

Visitation will be from 10am-12:30pmET, Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272). The funeral service will be held Thursday at 12:30pmET, at the Newcomer Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Gowan Cemetery in the Grab Community of Green County.

He was born on January 29, 1959 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY. He was the son of Vernon "Pete" Carter of Campbellsville, KY and the late Carolyn Gowan Carter. He died Monday, September 16, 2013, at the age of 54 years, 7 months, and 18 days.

He was employed with ECM.

Besides his mother, he is preceded in death by his sister, Shannon Renee Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Star Duncan Carter and the following:
  • Two sons: David Ray Carter and Jonathan Kenney Carter (Samantha)

  • Brother: Kenneth Ray Carter

  • Eight grandsons

  • One granddaughter

  • And a host of extended family and friends
Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY, is in charge of the local arrangements.
