Sarah Akin Morrison, 29, Adair County, KY (1984-2013)

She was a descendant of a large, respected West Adair County, KY family, the grandchild of Finley and Reba Akin, who survive. Her husband, Coy Morrison, also survives. She was preceded in death by parents, Michael and Rochelle Akin. She leaves one direct and one step living descendants.

Sarah Akin Morrison, 29, of Columbia, KY, died Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room, Columbia, KY.

The funeral service will be Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 11amCT/12pmET at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Bobby Withers officiating. Burial will be in Adair County in Moore Cemetery, 225 Prices Creek Road, Edmonton, KY. Visitation will be after 9amCT/10amET, Saturday at the funeral home.



Casket bearers: Chad Morrison, Ricky Dial, Brandon Cornelison, Dustin Alley, Roy Morrison & Nathan Akin.

She was born August 2, 1984, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Michael & Rochelle Kerns Akin. She died Wednesday. September 4, 2013, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of of 29 years, 1 month and 2 days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Kayson Morrison & Lathen Morrison.

Survivors include the following:
  • Her husband: Coy Morrison, Jr. of Columbia, KY

  • One son: Jamison Ford of Columbia, KY

  • One step-daughter: Callie Delayne Morrison of Columbia, KY

  • Her grandparents: Finley & Reba Akin of Columbia, KY

  • Several other relatives and friends also survive
