Mr. Colman Brown, age 94, of Taylor County, KY, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2013 in Campbellsville, KY, at the Grandview Nursing and Rehab.

The graveside service for Mr. Colman Brown, will be conducted Sunday, August 11, 2013 at 2pmET/3pmET, at the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY, with burial to follow. Bro. Otis C. Skaggs will be officiating. The family family requests visitation 4pm7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Saturday, August 10, 2013, and after 7amCT/8amET, on Sunday at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY.



He is survived by his wife, Helen Skaggs Brown of Taylor County, KY, and the following:
  • A son: Ronnie Brown and his companion Regina McDonald of Taylor County, KY

  • A sister: Marie Maness of Gainesville, GA

  • Three grandchildren: Marcia (Mickey) Underwood, Bobby Brown all of Campbellsville, KY; and Troy Brown of Lexington, KY

  • Three great-grandchildren: Josh Brown, Bryson Skaggs and Kaylee Brown

  • And one great-great grandchild: Joss Scout Brown

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by a daughter: Brenda Beams in 1966 and a infant son: Robert Wesley Brown in 1941, three sisters: Dorothy Colvin, Louise Shuffett and Lillian Hedgespeth.

Memorials are suggested to Gideon Bible Donations or the Taylor County FFA, both can be made at the funeral home.

L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangements.
