Mr. Omer "C.B." Houk died Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY.

Funeral services will be at 1pmCT, Sunday, August 4, 2013, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W. Court Street, Greensburg, KY with Rev. Roger Robertson the officiating clergy. Visitation will be 6pm-8pmCT. Saturday and after 7amCT, Sunday. Interment will be in Houk Cemetery, Hart County, KY.



Pallbearers: Dale Houk, Steve Ennis, Jeff Huffman, Neal Huffman, Ronald Gene Tucker, and Louis Henry.

Honorary Pallbearers: Doyle Ray Huffman and James L. Pruitt VFW Post 5813 Members.

Mr. Omer "C.B." Houk was born Tuesday, November 25, 1930 in Green County, KY to the late James Luther Houk and Clora Inez Houk. He departed this life Thursday, August 1, 2013 in Greensburg, Green County, KY, having attained the age of 82 years, 8 months and 6 days.

Mr. Houk had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Greasy Creek Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the James L. Pruitt VFW Post 5813, Greensburg, KY.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers: Woodrow, Raymond, Floyd and Freeman Houk.

He is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Carolyn Sue Lutterman of Cave City, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Angie Denson of Tennessee and Brian Philpot of Bonnieville, KY

  • A special caregiver: Betty Perry of Green County, KY.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the James L. Pruitt VFW Post 5813, Greensburg, KY. These can be made at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home.
