A special statement Neal Gold, Volunteer Westlake Regional Hospita Administrator on the outpouring of community support for the institution. which, just this morning, saw the surprise appearance of workmen to complete a project paid for by a group of citizens who chose to remain anonymous. He writes:
"It was a wonderful surprise when I heard that a group of citizens wanted to anonymously help improve the appearance of the hospital by paying for the sealing and striping of several of the parking areas. It was an even more pleasant surprise when the truck from Brown's Striping and Sealing showed up unannounced yesterday. "Every day seems to bring a new level of support from the community and a new sense of hope for what our hospital can become.

"The list of volunteer services gets longer every day: free mowing from Lee Stephens for the hospital, reduced mowing fees from Jeremy Hancock for mowing at Westlake Primary Care, free roof patching by Melson Roofing, landscaping cleanup from the Adair County Road Department, landscape work done by employee Andy Loy on his own time, and the dedicated and continuing support of Marty Brown and the entire Hospital Auxiliary in operating the gift shop." - Neal Gold
