Joseph Terry Lane, age 55, of the Node Community of North Metcalfe County, KY, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at home.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 27, 2013, at 2pmCT at the Seven Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1607 Seven Springs Church Road, Center, KY, with Bro. Mark Copas and Bro Randell Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the Lane Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday, July 26, 2013, at 4pmCT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, and continue at 9amCT, Saturday at the church until funeral time at 2pmCT.



He was a son of the late Preston and Elsie Jeffries Lane and was a self employed Masonry worker. He was a member of the Seven Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by the following:
  • One sister, Janice (Clay ) Turner of Summer Shade, KY

  • One brother, Jimmy (Teresa) Lane of Hiseville, KY

  • Nephew: Joey Lane

  • Nieces: Amanda Brown and Jamie Clark

  • Several great nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Karen Lane.

Memorials may be made to help with the funeral expense to 2232 Summer Shade Road,Summer Shade, KY 42166.
