Fog is a Factor: Thick as brick from C-ville to Russell Springs!

Larry Smith from The WAVE, 99.9 FM, called at 5:30amCT to say "Fog is a Factor this morning, from Campbellsville to Russell Springs. It is thick as a brick. Motorists should drive with their lights on - and remember to turn them off when they get out of the car!" Larry made the perilous journey from his home to the studio and powerful WAVE transmitter on top of Russell Creek Radio Hill, despite the fog and is now on On the Air.

...AREAS OF FOG DEVELOPING ACROSS CENTRAL KENTUCKY THIS MORNING...

THE COMBINATION OF LIGHT WINDS AND HIGH ATMOSPHERIC MOISTURE NEAR THE SURFACE HAS RESULTED IN AREAS OF FOG DEVELOPING ACROSS CENTRAL KENTUCKY EARLY THIS MORNING. THE FOG MAY BECOME LOCALLY DENSE IN SOME SPOTS WHERE SURFACE VISIBILITIES MAY BE REDUCED DOWN TO A HALF MILE. THE FOG WILL PERSIST THROUGH THE PRE-DAWN HOURS AND THEN BEGIN TO MIX OUT AFTER SUNRISE.

MOTORISTS SHOULD EXERCISE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING THIS MORNING AND BE PREPARED FOR SUDDEN CHANGES IN VISIBILITY OVER SHORT DISTANCES.

STAY TUNED TO NOAA ALL HAZARDS WEATHER RADIO OR YOUR LOCAL MEDIA FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION ON THIS WEATHER SITUATION.
