Bonita Faye Janes age 65 years of Columbia, KY passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 1:50pmCT, her home after several weeks illness. Funeral services will be at 1pmCT/2p0mET, Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Bro. Ronnie Janes will be the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Sparksville Baptist Church Cemetery, 9401 Burkesville Road, Columbia, KY. The family request visitation after 4pmCT/5pmET, on Monday, July 8, 2013, at the funeral home.

Bonita Faye Janes was born Sunday, February 22, 1948 in Columbia, Adair County. KY. She was the daughter of the late: Marion Houston and Laura Juanita Gray Taylor of Adair County, KY. She died in Columbia, Adair County, KY, Saturday, July 6, 2013, at the age of 65 years, 4 months, and 12 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by two brothers, Mitchell Taylor and Billy Taylor.

She is survived by her husband, J.D. Janes of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Two daughters: Shirley Wilson and husband James of Columbia, KY; and Paula Lyon of Columbia, KY

  • Three brothers: Gary Taylor, Don Taylor and Steve Taylor all of Columbia, KY

  • Eight sisters: Peggy Jessee of Louisville, KY Gayle Fudge, Janet McInteer, Carol Rogers, Carmella McDonald, Jennie Pennington, Kathy Norris and Pam Flowers all of Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Mitchell Wilson, Tiffany Wilson Gentry & husband Christopher Cody Michael Sneed and Brantley Kade Lyon

  • And a host of nieces and nephews and friends
