Irene Rogers, 91, Shelby Street, Jamestown, KY, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at 11:15pmCT, at her home.

The funeral service for Irene Rogers will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Friday, June 21, 2013, at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY with Bro. Tony Stephens officiating. Visitation will be after 5pmCT/6pmET, Thursday, June 20, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Jamestown Cemetery, N Main Street, Jamestown, KY.



Irene Rogers, 91, Russell County, KY (1922-2013)

She was born May 27, 1922, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Ivan Powell, and the late Lettie Woolridge Powell. She died Tuesday, June 18, 2013, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 91 years, 22 days.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Jamestown Christian Church, Jamestown, KY.

She is survived by the following:
  • A daughter: Diana, wife of Danny Piercy, Jamestown, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Angela Mahoney, Rachel Hayes, Jason Rogers, Christina Piercy (Ryan) Selby, and Kyle Piercy.

  • Ten great grandchildren

  • Three great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by one son Bruce Rogers; and one sister, Ethel Powell.

The H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, in charge of arrangements.
