Attis D. Rexroat, 94,of Russell Springs, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at his home.

Funeral service for Attis D. Rexroat will be 11amCT/12pm noon ET, Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Eld. Larold Gosser officiating. Friends may call after 5pmCT/6pmET, Friday, June 21, at the funeral home. Burial in the Salem Cemetery.



Attis D. Rexroad, 94, Russell County, KY, (1919-2013)


He was born Wednesday, April 2, 1919 in Russell County, KY. He was he son of the late Bazel & Lecta Mae Wilson Rexroat. He died Tuesday, June 18, 2013, in Russell County, KY, at the age of 94 years, 2 months, and 16 days.

He was a farmer and a member of the Salem United Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Gover Rexroat and a sister, Olive Rexroat.

Survivors include the following:
  • Eight children: Ronald (Judy) Rexroat, Georgetown, KY; Dariel (Rose) Rexroat, Frankfort, KY; Annette (Bob) Cheak, Burgin, KY; Paulette (Darrell) Roy, Russell Springs, KY; Pamela (Don) Cooper, Jamestown, KY; Curtis (Mary Jo) Rexroat, Nicholasville, KY; Karen (Charlie) Macke, Cookeville, TN; Mary Ann (Leon) Wooldridge, Russell Springs, KY

  • Eighteen grandchildren

  • Nine great grandchildren

  • Three great great grandchildren

  • A twin brother: Atlee Rexroat, Russell Springs, KY
