Shirley Ann Pennington age 69 of Burkesville died Friday, June 7, 2013 at Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville, KY.

Funeral services will be held 11amCT, Monday, June 10, 2013, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Randolph, KY. Visitation will be 3pm-8pmCT Sunday, June 9, 2013, and after 9amCT, Monday, June 10, 2013, at the funeral home.



She was the daughter of the late Jim Bill and Lena Warf Perkins.

She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by the following:
  • Four sons: James Harold Taylor of Glasgow, KY; Billy Ray Taylor of Burkesville, KY; Tommy Pennington of Edmonton, KY; and Phillip Rhinehart of Burkesville, KY

  • Three daughters: Patricia Coleman, Betty Wilson and Jamie Pennington all of Burkesville, KY

  • Three brothers: Donald and Robert Perkins of Glasgow, KY; and Lonnie Perkins of Edmonton, KY

  • Two half sisters: Rosella Roach of Louisville, KY; and Katherine England of Frankfort, KY

  • A special neice: Sharon Chamberlain of Knob Lick, KY

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Five great grandchildren
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters, Roy, Wayne and Jackie Perkins and Maxine Sexton and Ruth Pennington; and by a son in law Junior Wilson.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
