Charles Douglas (C. D.) Miller (1932-2013)

He was a native of Adair County, KY, and a resident of Taylor County, KY at the time of his death. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church where he had served as a deacon. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served his country honorably in the United States Army and later retired from the Kentucky National Guard. He was a member of the ElkHorn Masonic Lodge #568 F. & A. M. His wife, Barbara Wright Miller, survives. He leaves five direct living descendants. He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville

Charles Douglas (C. D.) Miller, 80 of Campbellsville, KY died at 1amET, Thursday, May 30, 2013, in Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral service is at 10amCT/11amET, Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Joe Hatchett. Masonic Service is at 6pmCT/7pmET, Monday, June 3, 2013, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Burial is in, Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation if 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Monday, June 3, 2013 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Pallbearers: Bobby Callison, Roy Canada, Johnny Tapscott, Brad Wright, Brian Wright, Cole Wright, and Greg Wright.

Charles Douglas "C. D." Miller (1932 - 2013)

Charles Douglas (C. D.) was the son of the late Richard A. "Dick" Miller and Virginia Callison Miller. He was born in Adair County, KY, October 10, 1932. He died Thursday, May 30, 2013, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 80 years, 7 months, and 20 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church where he had served as a deacon. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served his country honorably in the United States Army and later retired from the Kentucky National Guard.

He was a member of the ElkHorn Masonic Lodge #568 F. & A. M.

He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY.

He united in marriage to Barbara Wright November 7, 1953.

Besides his wife, Barbara Miller, he is survived by the following:
  • Three daughters: Sherry Miller and Connie Miller of Frankfort, KY; and Kay Wright and husband, Brian of Ft. Myers, Florida

  • Two grandchildren: Haley Brooke Wright and Coleman Douglas Wright of Ft. Myers, FL

  • One sister: Betty Gaines of Oak Ridge, TN

  • One brother in law, John Tapscott of Bowling Green, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
He was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters: Jim Dick Miller, Jane Cantrell and Patsy Tapscott. he Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY

The family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to Campbellsville Christian Church Building Fund and may be left at the funeral home.
