David Wesley Newcomb, age 87, of Taylor County died Monday, May 20, 2013 at Taylor Regional Hospital, Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral services for Mr. David Wesley Newcomb will be conducted 10amCT/11amET, Friday, May 24, 2013 at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home, 503 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, with burial to follow in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery. The family requests visitation Thursday from 4pm-7pmCT, 5pm-8pmET in Chapel of Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home.

He was born April 7, 1926. He died May 20, 2013, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 87 years, 1 month, and 13 days.

He was survived by the following:
  • Five sons and daughters in laws; David Jr. Newcomb, Mike and Mary L Newcomb both of Campbellsville, KY; Samuel and Dedria Newcomb of Georgetown, KY; Pat and Diane Newcomb of Lexington, KY; and John Newcomb of Maryland

  • Eleven grandchildren

  • Four great grandchildren

  • One nephew

  • Two nieces

  • and a host of family and friends
