Mossie Lee Stafford passed away Sunday May 12, 2013 at her home in Casey County, KY. She was 98.

Funeral services were held privately at Caney Fork Cemetery with Bro. Lyman Taylor officiating.



Mossie Lee Stafford, Casey County, KY (1915-2013)

Born March 3, 1915 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Octavius "Boy" and Cora Peck Allen. She died Sunday, May 12, 2013, in Casey County, KY, at the age of 98 years, 2 months, and 9 days.

She was a homemaker and farmer.

Ms. Mossie Stafford was the widow of John Francis Stafford.

Survivors include the following:
  • A grandson: Danny Johnson of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three great granddaughters: Angie Johnson of Elkhorn, KY; Dana Daughtry of Anchorage, Alaska; and Melissa Johnson of Campbellsville, KY

  • Four great great grandchildren: Kailey, Karrah, Marissa and Susie

  • A brother, Johnny Allen of Fruitland Park, FL

  • Ane half brother: Junior Allen of Versailles, KY

  • A sister: Dorothy Choate of Liberty, KY

  • And Two half sisters: Diana Woods of Portland, TN; and Julie Pittman of Bradfordsville, KY.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jewell Buck; grandson, Johnny Paul Johnson; Four brothers, James Eddie Allen, Ott Davis Allen Otha and Beckham Allen; two half brothers, Eulis and Julis Allen; two sisters, Stella Mae Allen and Ellen Jane Allen; and a half- sister, Jessie McDonald.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be sent to Bryan Jessup at P.O. Box # 1533, Lexington, Kentucky 40588.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY.
