Jean Jaynes, Taylor County, KY (1934-2013)

She was a native of Adair County, KY, and will be buried in Cane Valley, KY. She resident of Taylor County, KY, at the time of her death in Louisville, KY. She was the widow of Kermit Jaynes. Their marriage spanned over 56 years. She leaves 16 direct and four step living descendants. She was a nurse's aid.

Jean Jaynes of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Roy Clarke and Zelma Humphrey Clarke Jaynes, was born Saturday, June 30, 1934, in Adair County, Kentucky. She died at 7:51 P.M., Tuesday, April 23, 2013 in Louisville. Age: 78

Funeral services are at 12pmCT/1pmET, Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville by Rev. Jim Collison and Rev. Gary Ervin. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Friday, April 26, 2013 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cane Valley Cemetery, 83 Cane Valley Cemetery Road, Columbia, Adair County, KY.



Pallbearers: Lane Booth, Austin Chandler, Shelby Druien, Josh Gillespie, and Derek Roscoe.

Jean Jaynes was daughter of the late Roy Clarke & Zelma Humphrey Clarke Jaynes. She was born Saturday, June 30, 1934, in Adair County, KY. She died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 78 years, nine months, and 23 days.


She united in marriage to Kermit Jaynes March 12, 1949. He preceded her in death July 21, 2005.

She is survived by The following:
  • Two daughters: Gwen Robinson and husband, Gary of Lawrenceburg, In; and Pamela Barber and husband, Denny of Louisville, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: Lisa Cowherd of Campbellsville, KY; Jason White, Jonathon White, Melissa Barber and Corey Barber of Louisville, KY; Erin Robinson of Lexington, KY; and Amanda Finnegan of Issaquah, Washington

  • Seven great-grandchildren: Austin Chandler, Aaron White, Aiden White, Caden Cowherd, Kelsie Bowling, Julian Roscoe, and Bennett White

  • Four step grandchildren: Pam White, Michelle White Bruner, Terri White and Laura White

  • and many other relatives and friends

  • She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna White December 10, 2004 and a granddaughter, Stephanie Barber.
