Rosetta (Delta) Rodgers, Casey Co., KY (1931-2013)

She was a homemaker, employee of Fruit of the Loom, and member of the Pleasant Grove Separate Baptist Church. Delta loved to quilt and was a avid gardener. She was the widow of Lucian Rodgers. She leaves 39 direct living descendants.

Rosetta "Delta" Rodgers passed away Monday April 22, 2013 at her home in Casey County, KY. She was 81.

Funeral services will be 1pmET/2pmCT, Wednesday April 24, 2013 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Steve Warner officiating. Burial is at Whited Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Tuesday, April 24, 2013, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers are Gran Rodgers, Jasper Rodgers, Josh Edwards, Tanner Edwards , T. J. Long and Joe Scott.

Rosetta "Delta" Rodgers, Casey Co., KY (1931-2013)


Born Tuesday April 28, 1931 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Jasper Granville and Maudie Ann Wright Scott. She died Monday, April 22, 2013, in Casey County, KY, at the age of 81 years, 11 months, and 24 days.



She was the widow of Lucian Rodgers, who preceded her in death May 14, 2003.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons: Larry (and Glenda) Rodgers and Donald ( and Marlyn) Rodger both of Liberty, KY

  • Three daughters: Ruby (and Billy) Allen , Darlene (and Steve) Allen and Angie Rodgers all of Liberty, KY

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Twenty-five great grandchildren

  • Two sisters, Nannie Long and Betty Johnson both of Liberty, KY
In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by two grandchildren, Keith Allen and Larry Lucian Rodgers, Jr.; seven brothers, Arnold, John, Shelby, Sherman, Lonnie Clyde, Charles , and Shirley Scott; seven sisters, Edna Bertram, Viola Bertram, Martha Thornton, Ada Miller, Elva Scott , Ora Monday and Luzetta Breeden McKinney-McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, in charge of arrangements.
