David Wayne Absher, 40, of Louisville, KY, formerly of Columbia, KY, died Sunday, April 21, 2013 at his residence.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Herbert Janes officiating with cremation to follow. Visitation will be after 4pmCT/5pmCT, Tuesday, April 24, 2013.


David Wayne Absher, 40, Adair Co., KY (1973-2013)

He was born February 24, 1973, in Jefferson County, KY. He was the son of the late Marshall Wayne Absher and Bonnie Feese Absher Perry, who survives. He died Sunday, April 21, 2013 in Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 40 years, 1 month, and 25 days.

He served in the US Marines and was a carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marshall Wayne Absher, his paternal grandfather, J.D. Absher and his maternal grandmother, Elsie Feese Cole.

Survivors include the following:
  • His mother: Bonnie Feese Absher Perry of Louisville, KY

  • His son: Jacob Wayne Absher of Louisville, KY

  • His brother: Toby (Sonya) Absher of Lawrenceburg, KY

  • His niece, nephew and great-niece: TyAnn Williamson, Tyler Absher and MaKayla Williamson

  • Paternal grandmother: Lucille Absher Turner of Campbellsville, KY

  • His aunts: Paula Grimes, Sue Feese and Bonnie Rodgers, KY

  • Several other relatives and friends
