Barbara P. Richardson, Adair Co., KY, native (1943-2013)

She was the daughter of the late Morris Pickett and Leigh Rickett Pickett. She was an associate with Walmart in Campbellsville, KY and was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom for twenty years. She was the widow of the late Donald Richardson. Their marriage spanned over 51 years. She leaves 28 direct living descendants.

Barbara P. Richardson, 70, of Campbellsville, Ky, died at 7:45amET, Tuesday, April 16, 2013 in Campbellsville.

Funeral services are at 10amCT/11amET, Friday, April 19, 2013 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Shaun Caudill. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY.



Pallbearers: Derek Atwood, Corey Jones, Cord Pyles, Chaney Richardson, Chris Richardson, and Roger Richardson.

Barbara P. Richardson was the daughter of the late Morris Pickett and Leigh Rickett Pickett. She was born January 25, 1943, in Adair County, Kentucky. She died at Tuesday, April 16, 2013 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 70 years, 2 months, and 22 days.

She was an associate with Wal-Mart in Campbellsville and was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom for twenty years.

She united in marriage to Donald Richardson August 18, 1960. He preceded her in death August 26, 2011.

She is survived by the following:
  • Five daughters and three sons: Jennifer Pyles and husband, Brett of Radcliff, Stacey Atwood and husband, Larry, Lisa Martin and husband, Steve, Tammy Jones, Stephanie Richardson, Jeff Richardson and wife, Jennifer and Todd Richardson and wife, Cricket of Campbellsville and Donnie Richardson of Los Angeles, CA

  • Fifteen grandchildren

  • Five great grandchildren

  • Two brothers: Morris Pickett and wife, Marilyn of Shelbyville, Indiana and Mark Pickett of Columbia, KY
  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY in charge of arrangements.
