She was the daughter of the late Geneva and Venus Compton. She is survived by her husband Edward Jessee. She leaves 6 direct living descendants, and many relatives in South Central Kentucky. Mrs. Jessee was a member of Red Lick United Methodist Church

Ima Jessee, age 65 of Edmonton, KY died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital, Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be 1pm, CT, Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens, Edmonton, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, Friday, April 19, 2013, and after 9amCT, Saturday, at the funeral home.



She was the daughter of the late Geneva and Venus Compton.

Mrs. Jessee was a member of Red Lick United Methodist Church.

She is survived by husband, Edward Jessee of Edmonton, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Jonathan and wife Jill Jessee of Glasgow, KY

  • One daughter: Charlotte and husband Tommy Young of Edmonton, KY

  • Three sisters: Wilma and husband Steve Firkins of Edmonton, KY; Dolly and husband James Riley of Columbia, KY; and Diane and husband Larry Livene of Webster, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Alli, Madison, Moriah, and Jordan
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Wayne Compton.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
