Rickie Williams comment on lower case in: church of Christ

Rickie Williams writes:
Howdy Ed. You raised the question concerning the capitalization (or lack thereof) of the statement "church of Christ." I attribute the writing to being done by one who was diligent to follow scripture.

Read Romans 16:16 from any noted accurate translation such as the ASV and you will find...
"Salute one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ salute you."
The plurality indicated was in reference to all of the autonomous congregations of the church. The word autonomous is important because there is nothing in New Testament scripture that supports external governing of any congregation of the church. Rickie Williams --Rickie Williams
