GRC Park employer asks to know more on prospective neighbor

Assisted Transportation Systems is thriving at GRCP
'As a community I think we should demand an environmental impact study done before any decisions are made . . . We are for the progress of Adair County and want to keep this community the great place it is.' - ROB WILKERSON, Assisted Transportation Systems, Green River Commerce Park, Columbia, KY

Rob Wilkerson

As being the only industry and property owner in the Green River Commerce Park we are also very concerned about this new company and sale of the 20 acres. With very little information coming from the economic development board about the actual type of operation that is expected to come, it should give every Adair County citizen reason to be concerned.

This proposed company and its parent company Tyson Foods don't have a great track record in many areas where they have set up plants.

The Green River Commerce Park has a set of protective covenants in place that all property owners must sign and they are filed with the property deed. These covenants are very strict and possibly doesn't allow this type of operation.

As a community I think we should demand an environmental impact study done before any decisions are made.

I have reached out to several board members and someone from our company has been present at the last two meetings with no answers to the questions and concerns we have.

We want to be a good corporate neighbor to anyone who locates inside the park but we want the same in return.

We are for the progress of Adair County and want to keep this community the great place it is. Thanks to all for being truly concerned about the Future of Columbia/Adair County.
