Nelda Morrison age 87, a resident of NHC Healthcare in Glasgow, KY passed away Saturday, April 06, 2013 at NHC.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 09, 2013 at 2pmCT/3pmET, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Burkesville, KY with burial in Burkesville Cemetery, N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. The family requests visitation from 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Monday, April 08, 2013 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.



Nelda Morrison, Cumberland Co., KY (1926-2013)

Nelda was born on March 28, 1926 in Cumberland County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Ed and Letha (English) Morrison. She died Saturday, April 6, 2013, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 87 years, 9 days.

Prior to going to NHC HealthCare, Nelda resided in Edmonton, KY. She was of the Methodist faith, a retired hairdresser and later worked at the Cumberland Parkway Toll Plaza in Edmonton, KY.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lurene Morrison and Elizabeth Morrison, and one brother-in-law, Carl B. Young.

Survivors include:
  • One sister: Dorothy Young of Edmonton, KY

  • One nephew: Jackie Young and his wife Sharon of Edmonton, KY

  • One niece: Janice "Toots" Williams and her husband Charlie of Tompkinsville, KY

  • Four great nieces: Dee Dee White and her husband David of Tompkinsville, KY; Leslie Shive and her husband Mark of Summer Shade, KY; Aimee Sexton and her husband Matt of Edmonton, KY; Amber Collins and her husband Chase of Edmonton, KY

  • One great great niece: Brittney Billingsley and her husband John of Fountain Run, KY

  • Four great great nephews: Brian White of Tompkinsville, KY; and Kaleb Spillman, Will Brody Spillman, and Brayden Shive all of Summer Shade, KY
