James Randall (Bear) Lawson, Mt. Herman (d. Mar. 24, 2013)

He was a former employee of SKF and a son of the late Elzie and Alline Miller Lawson White. He was a Veteran of the US Army

James Randall (Bear) Lawson, age 63 of Mt. Hermon, formerly of the Nobob Community, died Sunday, March 24, 2013m at the Monroe Co. Medical Center, Tompkinsville, KY.

Funeral services will be Wednesday March 27 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at the White Chapel in Monroe County, KY, with interment in the White Cemetery. Visitation will begin Tuesday,March 26 at 2pmCT/3pmET, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY.



He was a former employee of SKF and a son of the late Elzie and Alline Miller Lawson White. He was a Veteran of the US Army.

He is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Amelia (Roy) Gentry of Mt. Hermon, KY

  • One son: Jared (Tasha) Lawson of Tompkinsville, KY

  • Two sisters: Rita (Randy)Anderson and Anita Lawson both of Summer Shade, KY

  • Five brothers: Freddie Lawson, Elzie (Big D ) Lawson, Mike (Becky ) Lawson,Gary (Mary) Lawson,all of Summer Shade, KY;; and Larry (Chop ) Lawson of Glasgow, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Dale and Tracy Gentry and Askani Lawson
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Sandy Lawson.
