Kurt had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liletown United Methodist Church. He retired from Greensburg Manufacturing and was a farmer. He was the son of the late Mike and Lee Brown Beard. He was a United States Army Veteran. His marriage to the late Phyllis Ann Price Jeffries spanned over 48 years

Mr. Kurt Jeffries departed this life Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY.

Funeral servies will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W. Court Street, Greensburg, KY with Bro Joseph Wilcoxson and Bro. Billy Beard officiating. Visitation will be after 5pmCT/6pmET, Saturday, March 9, 2013, and after 7amCT/8amET, Sunday. interment will be in Pierce Community Cemetery, Green County, KY with Military Honors.



Pallbearers: Blake Thompson, Robert McKinney, Bobby Beard, Jimmy Wilcoxson, Doug Morgan, Danny Bush, Ruel Elkins, and Joe E. Froggett.


Mr. Kurt Jeffries, Green County, KY, (1935-2013)


Mr. Kurt Jeffries was born January 17, 1935 in Green County, KY. He was the son of the late Mike and Lee Brown Beard Jeffries. He departed this life Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY, having attained the age of 78 years, 1 month and 1 day.

Kurt had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liletown United Methodist Church. He retired from Greensburg Manufacturing and was a farmer. He was a United States Army Veteran.

He was united in marriage June 11, 1960 to Phyllis Ann Price Jeffries, who preceded him in death December 17, 2008.

He is also preceded in death by two brothers: Lloyd L. Jeffries and Kenneth Jeffries. He is survived by the following:
  • One brother and sister in law: Keith and Regina Jeffries of Pierce

  • Two sisters in law and two brothersin law: Lillian Davis and Alice Frances and David Miller, all of Campbellsville, KY; and Gary Price of Greensburg, KY

  • Aspecial friend: Blake Thompson of Pierce, KY

  • Three nephews: Phillip and Alda Ree Jeffries, Kevin and Emily Jeffries and Cager Jeffries

  • Four other nephews and four nieces

  • Plus a host of other relatives and friends
