Bill Phelps passed away Monday March 4, 2013 in Casey County, KY. He was 60.

A memorial service will be 6pmCT/7pmET, Friday March 8, 2013, at Barnetts Creek United Methodist Church, 1338 Barnett's Creek Road, Columbia, KY, with Barry Bradshaw officiating. Visitation is Friday, 4pm-6pmCT/5pm-7pmET. Cremation rites have been honored by McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Barnett's Creek UMC Mission Fund.



Bill Phelps, Casey County, KY (June 28, 1952 - March 4, 2013)

Born Saturday, June 28, 1952 in Pulaski, County, KY, he was the son of the late Charlie M. and Fay Ratliff Phelps. He died Monday, March 4, 2013, in Casey County, KY, at the age of 60 years, 8 months, and 6 days.

He worked in the logging industry.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Long Phelps of Liberty, KY and the following:
  • A daughter: Kimberly K. ( and Jay) Stanley of Saltillo, MS

  • Three grandchildren: Cody and Wyatt Hebrock and Jace Stanley

  • Three brothers: Jerry and Charlie W. Phelps of Sterns, KY and Jim Phelps of Whitley City, KY

  • Five sisters: Louise Stogsdill of Somerset, KY; Cheryl Meece of Bowling Green, KY; Jean Hutcherson of Frankfort, KY; Fayrene Addington of Morganton, Georgia; and Barbara Deloach of Bainbridge, Georgia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Phelps and sister, Donna New. Arrangements entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY.
