Roger Thomas Land, 70, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 10:27amET, Tuesday, February 26, 2013 in Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral service will be at 10amCT/11amET, Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Dr. Shane Garrison. Burial will be in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation is 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Thursday, February 28, 2013, at the funeral home.



Roger Thomas Land, Taylor Co., KY (1942 - 2013)

Roger Thomas Land was the son of the late Tommy Land and Nellie Noel Land. He was born August 16, 1942 in Casey County, KY. He died at 10:27amCT, Tuesday, February 26, 2013 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 70 years, 6 months, and 10 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Living Grace Church. He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom after forty-two years of service. He united in marriage to Anita Cox February 4, 1961.

Besides his wife, Anita Land of Campbellsville, KY, he is survived by the following:
  • One son and one daughter: Mitchell Thomas Land and wife, Lisa of Louisville, KY; and Melinda DeSpain and husband, Kevin of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Brandon Thomas Humphries, Tara Wallace and Carrie Jo DeSpain

  • Four great grandchildren: Traxton Thomas Wallace, Dalton Cox, Landon Cox and Tatum Caulk

  • Three sisters and one brother: Jo Colvin and husband, Richard of Campbellsville, KY; Sharon Spear and husband, Homer of Liberty, KY; Sandy DeHart and husband, Bill of Winchester, KY; and Donald Land and wife, Shirley of Liberty, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
