Wilma Marie Combs age 72, Casey Co., KY (1940-2013)

She was a native of Taylor County, KY, the daughter of the late Rue L. and Bertha Callahan Ford and widow of Charles W. Combs. She leaves 12 direct living descendants. He was a former employee of Liberty Sportswear.

Wilma Marie Combs passed away Saturday December 16, 2013 at Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Jamestown, Kentucky. She was 72.

Funeral services are at 1pmCT/2pmET, Tuesday February 19, 2013, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Donald Marcum officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 9amCT/10amET, until funeral service.

She was born March 27, 1940 in Taylor County, KY, she is the daughter of the late Rue L. and Bertha Callahan Ford. She died Saturday, February 16, 2013, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 72 years, 10 months, and 20 days.

She was a former employee of Liberty Sportswear.

She is the widow of Charles W. Combs, who passed away December 21, 1985.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons: Charles (and Patricia) Combs and Chuck ( and Rhonda) Combs both of Dunnville, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: Carrie Hawk of Somerset, KY; Candace Combs of Warwick , Rhode Island; Crystal Holt of Dunnville, KY; and Chad, Charles Ray, Colton and Cayleigh Combs all of Dunnville, KY

  • Three great grandchildren: Cade Hawk, Carter Holt and Bentley Combs

  • Three brothers: Carl and Ray Ford of Louisville, KY; and Daniel Ford of Florida

  • Two half-brothers: Gary and Eric Ford of Campbellsville, KY

  • Four sisters: Ruby McDonald of Louisville, KY; and Ina Humphress, Galoris Cochran and Marsa Cox all of Campbellsville, KY

  • And three half-sisters: Shirley James of Indiana, Zelphia Reece of Florida and Lane Ford of Campbellsville, KY
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two halfbrothers, Wilber and Rue Mitch Ford; and two sisters, Ena Hicks and Anita Elmore
