Geneva Day, 75, of Columbia, died Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 8pmCT, at the Campbellsville Retirement Home, Campbellsville, KY, after a short illness.

Funeral services will be Sunday, February 17, 2013 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Bill Henson officiating. Burial in Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT/5pmET, Saturday, February 16, 2013.

She was born Saturday, September 25, 1937, in Green County, KY She was daughter of the late Gearand and Isabelle Akin Gentry. She died Thursday, February 14, 2013, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 75 years, 4 months, and 19 days.

She was a founding member of Victory Community Church, retired from Fruit of the Loom, and was a cook at Holmes Bend Dock and the Brown Barn.

Survivors include the following:
  • Her husband: Allen Day of Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers in law: Bobby (Nina) and David (Juanita) Day, all of Columbia, KY

  • One sister in law: Dorothy Mullins of Columbia, KY

  • Several other relatives and friends
