Ed Pipalski poses questions on crosswalks

Ed Pipalski writes:
The stop lines are placed on the roadway prior to the pedestrian cross walk lane so vehicles do not obstruct or strike pedestrians who actually use the crosswalks and obey traffic laws like they are required to in most municipalities, ie. jay-walking. The real question though is, if one fails to stop, completely behind the line or stop sign if there is no line, did one run the sign and be subject to a traffic citation? - Ed Pipalski
Comments re article 57494 Big Al Owens Its important to stop behind painted stop line
