Lowell Izene Roy Foley, 95, of Russell Springs, died Friday, January 18, 2013 at her home.

Funeral services for Lowell Izene Foley will be at 10amCT/11amET, Monday, January, 21, 2013 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with burial in the Coffey's Chapel Cemetery, 3991 S. Hwy 76, Eli, KY. Bro. Jim Kingry will be the officiating clergy. Special music will be by Ann Blakey. Visitation will be 5pm-9pmCT/6pm-10pmET, at the funeral home.

She was born Wednesday, March 14, 1917 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Daniel Jefferson and Jennie Moore (Tarter) Roy.She died Friday, January 18, 2013, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 95 years, 9 months, and 4 days.

She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Russell Springs United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Roe Foley; two children, Donald Ray Foley, and P. June Harrison; three brothers, Emory Roy, Ralph L. Roy, and Weldon Roy, and one sister, Eula Mae Richards

She is survived by the following:
  • Three children: Glenda (Mark) Prater and Richard (Pat) Foley, Russell Springs, KY; and Royce (Geri) Foley, Milford, Illinois

  • Eleven grandchildren

  • Eighteen great grandchildren

  • One great great granchild
The family requests memorials to the Russell Springs United Methodist Church Memorial Fund. These can be made at the funeral home or the church.
