He was the widower of Bernice Estes Rigney, former employee of Goodyear, a former Kentucky State Trooper, member of Watson's Chapel Christian Church and a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of World War II. He leaves 15 direct living descendants

Clarence Rigney, age 86, of Liberty, KY, passed away on Tuesday January 1, 2013, at V.A. Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held 12pmCT/1pmET, Saturday January 5, 2013 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY 49, Liberty, KY. Rev. Sherman Floyd officiating. Burial will be in the Watson's Chapel Cemetery with Military Rites. Visitation will be held 10am/11amET. Saturday January 5, 2013 with Masonic Rites at 12:00 Noon at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.

He was born in Argyle, KY on Monday, August 30, 1926. He was a son of the late Albert and Florence Foster Rigney. He died Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at the age of 86 years, four months, and 2 days. Visitation will be held 10amCT/11amET, Saturday January 5, 2013 with Masonic Rites at 11amCT/12pmET, Saturday, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.

Survivors include the following:
  • One daughter: Chandra and (Mike) Leaverton of Richmond, KY

  • One son: James Monroe and (Jewell) Rigney of Richmond, KY

  • Four grandchildren

  • Nine great grandchildren

  • One brother: Cleo Rigney of Elizabethtown, KY

  • And one sister: Lola McAninch of Argyle, KY.
