She was the matriarch of a large, respected Taylor County, KY family with widespread ties in Arkansas and Tennessee as well as Kentucky. She is survied by 21 direct living descendants

Jane Cantrell, age 83, of Bluegrass Way in Campbellsville, KY died Monday, December 31, 2012, at her residence after an illness.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jane Cantrell will be held at 10amCT/11amET, Thursday, January 2013, at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel, 503 East Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, with burial in the CampbellsvilleMemorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY.The family request visitation 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, at the funeral home.

She was born Monday, September 23, 1929. She died Monday, December 31, 2012, in Campbellsviille, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 83 years, 3 months, and 8 days.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons and daughters in law, and two daughters and sons in law: Paul and Vicky Kennedy of Crossville, Tennessee; Douglas and Ann Kennedy of Littlle Rock, Arkansas; Jane Farmer of Elizabethtown and Debra and Roy Canada of Campbellsville, KY

  • Eight grandchildren: Lindsey, Tonya, Khristian, Abbi, Lauren, Faith, Allison and Megan

  • Nine great grandchildren: Whitney, Macison, Ashley, Taylor, Bree, Lea, Hannah, Lily and Garver

  • One brother and one sister: C.D. Miller of Campbellsville, KY, and Betty Ann Gaines of Oak Ridge, Tennessee
The family request that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hosparus of Central Kentucky.

Lyon-Dewitt Funeral Home, 503 E. Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangements.
