Lawrence Edwin (Eddie) Pickett, Green Co., KY (1948-2012)

He was a beloved member of a leading Green County, KY family. he was the son of the late L.E. "Chick" Pickett and Christine Nunn Pickett. He leaves four direct living descendants. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church. He was a retired teacher for the Green County Board of Education, and a Vietnam Veteran having served in the United States Navy

Mr. Lawrence Edwin "Eddie" Pickett of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Taylor Regional Hospital, Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral services for Mr. Lawrence Edwin "Eddie" Pickett will be conducted at 1pmCT/2pmET, Sunday, December 23, 2012 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Greensburg Cemetery, N. Main Street, Greensburg, KY. Bro. Dale Curry and Bro. Kent Penick will be officiating. Visitation is requested 4pmCT/5pmET until 8pmCT/9pmET, Saturday, December 22, 2012, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT/8amET, Sunday until time of the funeral.



Pallbearers: Layke Pickett, Keightley Pickett, Dale Thompson, Terry W. Hall, Charles Judd, Don Ingram, Wayne Dial, Larry Marcum.

Lawrence Edwin (Eddie) Pickett, Green County, KY (1948-2012)

Mr. Lawrence Edwin "Eddie" Pickett of Greensburg, Green County, KY, was the son of the late L.E. "Chick" Pickett and Christine Nunn Pickett. He was born on March 7, 1948 in Green County, KY, and departed this life on Friday, December 21, 2012 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY. He was 64 years, nine months, and 14 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church. He was a retired teacher for the Green County Board of Education, and a Vietnam Veteran having served in the United States Navy.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons and daughters in law: Trae and Tammy Pickett of Greensburg, KY; and John David and Lori Pickett of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Layke Pickett of Greensburg, KY; and Keightley Pickett of Campbellsville, KY

  • A sister and brother-in-law: Connie Moss Crockett and A.L. Crockett of Louisville, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mr. Pickett was also preceded in death by a niece and nephew, Rhonda Driggers and Clay Crockett.

Memorials are suggested to the American Legion Rod Lowe Post #124, which can be made at the funeral home.
