Jerry Wayne Davis, 57, of Elk Horn, KY, died at 11:20pmET, Wednesday, December 19, 2012 in Louisville, KY

Funeral services will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Sunday, December 23, 2012 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Minister Hugh Withers. Burial will be in Chappell Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: Ricky Barnes, Eddie Bright, Larry Davis, Tony Davis, Tony Dixon, Jimmy Furkins, and Roger Hovious.

Honorary pallbearers: Tyler Barnes, Brian Davis, Leslie Davis, Phil Hovious, and Gary Humphress.

Jerry Wayne Davis was the son of the late Charles Wayne Davis and Kathleen Frances Jones Davis. He was born Saturday, October 15, 1955 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 57 years, 2 months, and 4 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Knifley Christian Church. He was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom, Knifley School System and Cox Built Homes. He was a member of the Casey Creek Masonic Lodge No. 536 F & AM.

He united in marriage to Deborah Cox June 28, 1976.

Besides his wife, Deborah Davis of Elk Horn, he is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Christopher Wayne and wife, Leslie Pace Davis and Joseph Parker Davis and fiancee, Aubrey Skutt of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Parker Kate Davis, Pace McCall Davis and Paxton Bentley Davis

  • One sister and two brothers: Charlotte Hovious and husband, Roger and Johnny Davis, all of Elk Horn, KY; and Danny Grant and wife, Julia of Charleston, South Carolina

  • One niece: Monica Houghlin and husband Billy of Knifley, KY

  • And many other relatives and friends
