He leaves 6 direct living descendants. He was owner and operator of L & S Builders for 30 plus years, was a farmer, and a Gideon. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member and Deacon of the Little Barren Separate Baptist Church

Mr. Robbie H. Jones of the Little Barren Community of Green County, son of the late Frank Jones and Margie South Jones, was born on May 17, 1936 in Green County, and departed this life on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at his home. He was 76 years, six months, and 29 days of age.

The funeral services for Mr. Robbie H. Jones will be conducted at 9amCT/10amET, Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Jones Family Cemetery. Bro. Charlie Houk will be officiating. Visitation is requested 3pm-9pmCT/4pm-10pmET, Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT/8pmET, Wednesday until time of the funeral service.

Mr. Robbie H. Jones was the son of the late Frank Jones and Margie South Jones, was born on Sunday, May 17, 1936 in Green County, KY. He departed this life on Sunday, December 16, 2012 in Little Barren, Green County, KY. He was 76 years, six months, and 29 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member and Deacon of the Little Barren Separate Baptist Church. He was owner and operator of L & S Builders for 30 plus years, was a farmer, and a Gideon.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mrs. Carolyn Franklin Jones having united in marriage on June 18, 1960.

Other survivors include the following:
  • A son and daughter-in-law: Mike and Rhonda Jones of Green County, KY

  • A daughter and son-in-law: Robbin and Tim McDermott of Green County, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Samantha Milby Buchanan and her husband Jacob, Seth Jones, Micah Jones, and Brennen Milby all of Green County, KY

  • A brother: Freddie Jones of Glasgow, KY

  • Two sisters: Judy Polson of Knob Lick, KY; and OJean Atwell of Louisville, KY

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
Memorials are suggested to the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
