Wendell Jeffries, 81, Louisville, KY (d. Dec. 12, 2012)

He was a member of a highly regarded family and was born in the Pink Ridge Community of Metcalfe County, KY, the son of the late Cecil and Ada Cassady Jeffries. He was a Korean War Veteran, had retired from Gamble Bros., and was a member of the Highland Baptist Church in Louisville, KY

Wendell Jeffries age 81 of Louisville. KY, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Norton Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 11amCT/12pm noon ET, Friday, December 14, 2012, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT/5pm-9pmET, Thursday, December 13, 2012.



He was born in the Pink Ridge Community of Metcalfe County and was the son of the late Cecil and Ada Cassady Jeffries.

Wendell Jeffries was a Korean War Veteran and member of the First Highland Baptist Church in Louisville.

He was retired from Gamble Brothers. He is survived by his wife Doris Jeffries of Louisville, KY and the following:
  • One son: Kendell Jeffries of Clarksville, Indiana

  • Two brothers: Carl Jeffries of Edmonton, KY, and Ralph Jeffries of Louisville, KY
Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
