Amos Avery Gosser, 95 E. Brown Ridge Road, Russell Springs, KY, died Thursday, December 6, 2012, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral services will be at 11amCT/12pmET, Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E. Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Richard Owens officiating. Visitation will be after 5pmCT/6pmET, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cedar Springs Cemetery.



Amos Avery Gosser, Russell Co., KY (1917-2012)

He was born December 6, 2012, in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Harrison Gosser Jr. and the late Nancy Francis Roy Gosser. He died Thursday, December 6, 2012, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 95 years.

He was a member of the Cedar Springs Baptist Church and a construction worker.

He is survived by the following:
  • Three daughters: Kathy, wife of Wayne Denney, Nancy, KY; Tenine, wife of Jerry Stewart, Somerset, KY; and Karen Turner, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two sons: Danny, husband of Dee Gosser, Russell Springs, KY; and Gene Gosser, Somerset, KY

  • Eight grandchildren

  • Twelve great grandchildren

  • One great great grandchild
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Opal Gosser; brothers, Ernest Gosser, alfred Gosser, Monroe Gosser, and Elvern Gosser; one sister, Zelma Emerson; one grandson, Stancey Gosser; and one daughter in law, Crolyn Gosser and son in law, Bruce Turner.

Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E. Steve Wariner Drive, in charge of arrangements.
