She was a member of a highly-regarded Taylor County, KY, family. She was the widow of George Raymond Lewis, to whom she was married 60 years. She leaves three direct living descendants. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville, KY, First United Methodist Church.

Margaret Lewis, Campbellsville, KY died at 7:20pmET, Sunday, November 25, 2012 in Campbellsville, KY. She was 81.

Graveside services will be at 3pmET/2pmCT, Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Brookside Cemetery, West Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Ron Young.

Margaret Lewis was the daughter of the late George M. Trotter and Sophronia E. Hay Trotter. She was born Monday, July 9, 1931 in Taylor County, KY. She died at Sunday, November 25, 2012 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 81 years, 4 months, and 16 days. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She united in marriage to Raymond Lewis August 8, 1947. He preceded her in death May 28, 2008.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: George Raymond Lewis of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two granddaughters: Abigail Elizabeth Lewis and Meredith Paige Lewis of Lexington, KY

  • And many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, George W. Trotter October 21, 2006 and a brother in infancy.
