Mary Helen Carman, age 85, of Gravel Ridge, AR, formerly of Bastin Creek, KY, passed away on Tuesday November 20 2012, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 11amET/10amCT, Monday November 26, 2012 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, with Rev. Jim Lynn officiating. Burial will follow in the Middleburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5pmET/4pmCT. Sunday November 25, 2012 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel in Liberty.



Mary Helen Carman, Casey County, KY (1927-2012)


She was born in Mt. Olive, Casey County, KY, on February 19, 1927. She was a daughter of the late Clarence and Emma Durham Stafford. She died Tuesday, November 20, 2012, in Gravel Ridge, Pulaski County, Arkansas, at the age of 85 years, 9 months, and 1 day.

She was a homemaker and the widow of Clarence V. Carman.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons: Dennis Carman of North Little Rock, AR and Richard Kirby Carman of Liberty, KY

  • Three grandchildren

  • Four great grandchildren

  • Two sisters: Ailene Bastin of Danville, KY: and Margaret Hodges of Terrace Park, OH

  • And two brothers: Billy Stafford of Stanford and Charles Stafford of Danville, KY
She was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Stafford and sister Maxine Floyd. Send a condolence to the family of Mary Helen Carman
