James A. Gaskin, 83, Judy Street, Russell Springs, KY, died Monday, November 19, 2012, at his home.

The funeral service will be at 1pmCT, Friday, November 23, 2012, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Cleveland Johnson the officiating clergy. Burial will be in Clear Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Thursday, November 22, 2012, at the funeral home.



James A. Gaskin, Russell County, KY (1929-2012)


he was born October 13, 1929, in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Anna Lou Williams Gaskin and the late James Porter Gaskin. He died Monday, November 19, 2012, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 83 years, 1 month, and 6 days.

He was a boiler operator and a member of the Clear Springs Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Gerald Gaskin, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • Three sisters: Lutha cooper, Russell Springs, KY; Norma Jean Grider, Indianapolis, IN; and Daisy Dean Ballenger, Louisville, KY

  • Four nieces and two nephews
He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Gaskins.
