Delois Imogene Garmon, Metcalfe Co., KY (d. Nov. 6, 2012)

She was the matriarch of a highly regarded Metcalfe County family. She was an Edmonton businesswoman, who owned and operated Don's Auto repair in Edmonton, KY, with her husband Don Garmon, who survives. She leaves 5 direct living descendants. She was a member of Grace Union Baptist Church.

Delois Imogene "Jeanie" Garmon age 68 of Edmonton, KY, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 2pmCT, Friday, November 9, 2012, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, and after 9amCT, Friday, at the funeral home.



She was the daughter of the late Mawk and Ruby Reece Wisdom.

She and her husband were owners and operators of Don's Auto Repair in Edmonton., KY. She was a member of the Grace Union Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Don Garmon, of Edmonton, KY, and the following:
  • Two children: Sally and husband Mark Caffee of Edmonton, KY, and Gary Garmon (Jennifer Morgan) of Tompkinsville, KY

  • One grand daughter Amy and husband Noel Vazquez of Louisville, KY

  • Two great grandsons: Nathan and Andrew Vazquez of Louisville, KY

  • Two sisters: Sue Wisdom of Edmonton, KY; and Wanda Brewer of Beaver Creek, Ohio.

  • A sister in law: Sharon Wisdom of Edmonton, KY
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two grandsons, Richie and Justin Caffee, a brother Carlos Wisdom and sister Jeanette Gibson.
