Mr. Ronald L. "Ronnie" Shuffett, 64, of the Ebenezer Community of Greensburg, KY passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, KY. .

The funeral services for Mr. Ronald L. "Ronnie" Shuffett was conducted at 10amCT, Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, with burial in the Liberty Cemetery. Bro. Todd Davis and Bro. Gleason Bloyd officiated.



Pallbearers: Bobby Durrett, Josh Janes, Billy Patterson, Andrew Patterson Scott Rooker, and Larry Shofner.

Ronnie L. (Ronnie) Shuffett, Green Co., KY (1948-2012)

Mr. Ronald L. "Ronnie" Shuffett was the son of the late William C. Shuffett and Amelia Moore Shuffett. He was born on Wednesday, June 6, 1948 in Green County, Kentucky, and passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY. He was 64 years, 4 months, and 21 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Separate Baptist Church, and was a self-employed farmer. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the United States Army. He was also a member of the American Legion Rob Lowe Post #124.

He united in marriage to Judy Nadine Thompson on December 23, 1966 who preceded him in death on March 8, 2003.

Survivors include:
  • His two sons and daughters-in-law: Scott and Christy Shuffett of Georgetown, KY; and Cameron and Stacy Shuffett of Greensburg, KY

  • His fiance: Phyllis Sullivan of Campbellsville, KY

  • A grandchild: Katie Grace Shuffett

  • A godchild: Haley Strader of Greensburg, KY

  • Two brothers and sisters-in-law: Eddie and Wanda Shuffett of Florida, and Joe Gordon and Betty Jo Shuffett of Greensburg, KY

  • Two sisters and a brother-in-law: Carol Stith, and Jenny and Gary Giles all of Greensburg, KY

  • A sister-in-law: Betsy Shuffett of Greensburg, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and many friends
Mr. Shuffett was also preceded in death by a brother: James Dale Shuffett on August 27, 2002.

Memorials are suggested to the Liberty Separate Baptist Church Building Fund, which can be made at funeral home.

The Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, KY in charge of arrangements.
