LWC begins new lecture series about Health and Safety The Dr. Henry Baughman Visiting Fellows program is funded with a $25,000 gift from Stanford, KY, native, a retired Western Kentucky University professor who taught health and safety and was a pioneer among Kentucky emergency medical technologists Click on headline for complete story with photo(s) By Duane Bonifer News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - Lindsey Wilson College inaugurated a lecture series about health and safety Monday and Tuesday for students, faculty and area residents. The Dr. Henry Baughman Visiting Fellows Program began with a series of talks by the program's namesake on Monday and Tuesday. Baughman, of Stanford, Ky., spoke to LWC students, faculty, staff and community members Monday in the Norma and Glen Hodge Center for Discipleship, and he then held a series of meetings with students, faculty and staff. The Baughman Visiting Fellows Program will annually invite a scholar in the field of health, safety and wellness to give a public talk and meet with students. Modeled on the prestigious Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellows program, the Baughman Visiting Fellows Program will enlighten area residents and LWC students about critical life issues. Baughman funded the fellows program with a $25,000 gift. In addition to attracting a visiting scholar to LWC, the program will support undergraduate research projects in the subjects of health, safety and wellness.
