He was a native of Adair County, KY, and the patriarch of a respected Russell County, KY, family. He leaves 8 direct living descendants. He was a member of the Providence Baptist Church.

Edwin Carl McKinney, 79, Jamestown, Ky, died Friday, October 19, 2012, at Scott Memorial Hospital, Scottsburg, Indiana.

The funeral services will be Monday, October 22, 2012, at 1pmCT at the Wilson Funeral Home, 391E. Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will be after 12 noon CT at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hadley Cemetery, Jamestown, KY.



Edwin Carl McKinney, 79, Jamestown, KY (1933-2012)

He was born June 16, 1933, in Columbia, Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Forrest McKinney and Veanna Antle McKinney. He died Friday, October 19, 2012, in Scottsburg, Scott County, Indiana, at the age of 79 years, 4 months, and 3 days. He was a member of the Providence Baptist Church.

He is survived by the following:
    One daughter, Gail Vessles, Elizabethtown, KY
  • One Brother; Charles McKinney, Jamestown, KY

  • Two sisters: Irene Toler and Sarah Wheat, both of Louisville, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Pamela, Kiersten, and Justin

  • Four great grandchildren: Aaron, Kaiden, Liam, and Brooklyn
