Elmer (Tucker) Taylor, Adair Co., KY (1945-2012)

Mr. Elmer "Tucker" Taylor of Keltnertown Road, Adair County, KY departed this life on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY. He was 67 years, six months, and one day of age.

The funeral services for Mr. Elmer "Tucker" Taylor will be conducted at 2pmCT, Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 South Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Parnell Cemetery. Visitation is requested after 10amCT, Sunday until time of the funeral service.

Mr. Elmer "Tucker" Taylor was the son of the late General Grant Taylor and Fanny Mae Wilson Taylor. He was born on Sunday, April 15, 1945 in Rose Hill, Lee County, Virginia, and departed this life on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 in Glasgow, Barren County, KY. He was 67 years, 6 months, and 1 day of age.

He was retired from General Motors where he worked as skilled trade.

Survivors include:
  • A daughter: Sheila Diane Taylor of Michigan

  • A brother: J.E. Taylor of Green County, KY

  • Half brothers and sisters: Alford Taylor, Rose Taylor, Judy Stewart, Norman Taylor, Mary Ruth Taylor, Barbara Seabolt, and Margerite Short all of Virginia

  • A grandchild

  • And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Mr. Taylor was also preceded in death by his step-mother: Martha Wilder Taylor; brothers and sisters: Charles Taylor, Robert Taylor, Anne Taylor Britton, Cecil Taylor, Corrine Taylor Britton, Effie Taylor, Clyde Taylor, Billy Joe Taylor, and Preston Taylor; half brothers and sisters: Jerry, Tammy Linn, Karen, and Bonnie.
