He was the husband of Esther Ooten, who survived by just a few brief hours. He leaves 18 direct living descendants. Ooten, Cumberland Co., KY native (1923-2012) He was born on Friday, November 2, 1923 in Cumberland County, KY. He was the son of the late Silas "Cy" and Sarah Jane Ooten. He died Friday, September 28, 2012, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 88 years, 10 months, and 26 days. He was a retired carpenter and was a volunteer at T. J. Samson Community Hospital for eight years. He preceded his wife Esther Wright Ooten in death who also passed away later the same day. Survivors include:
