James Robert Cherry, 14, of Smiths Grove, formerly of Breeding, KY, died Monday, September 24, 2012 at the Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 2pmCT, at Hardy & Son Funeral Home Bowling Green Chapel, 3098 Louisville Road, Bowling Green with burial in Smiths Grove Cemetery in Warren County, KY. Visitation will be after 10amCT, Saturday, September 29, 2012.



He was a student at Warren East High School and attended Smiths Grove Baptist Church. While living in Breeding, he attended Columbia United Methodist Church, Columbia, KY.

Survivors include:
  • His mother: Clare Edwards Cherry of Smiths Grove, KY

  • His father: Douglas Cherry

  • Two sisters - Francesca & Emma Cherry both of Smiths Grove, KY

  • His best friend: Mikey Thomas
