Alberta French, 75, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 4:40pmET, Saturday, September 22, 2012 in Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral service will be at 11amET/10amCT, Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Bro. Ronda Arnett , Bro. Darrin Price and Bro. Richard Coffey and Gavin Coffey. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmET/4pm-7pmCT, Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Alberta French, Taylor County, KY (1937 - 2012)


Alberta French was the daughter of the late Willie Sprowles and Irene Yates Sprowles. She was born Wednesday, March 7, 1937, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died Saturday, September 22, 2012 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 75 years, 6 months, and 19 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Zion Separate Baptist Church.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She united in marriage to William H. (Buster) French January 16, 1954.

Besides her husband, Buster French, she is survived by:
  • One daughter and son-in-law: Annetta Reynolds and husband, Gary of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Austin Reynolds and wife, Kaylin of Campbellsville, KY, and Miranda Coffey and husband, Richard and Brittany Shuffett and husband, Evan of Greensburg; KY

  • Five great grandchildren: Gavin Coffey, Carlee Coffey, Brooklyn Shuffett, Kayla Shuffett and Jaida Shuffett all of Greensburg, KY

  • Two brothers and two sisters: Glevins Sprowles, Coleman Sprowles and Geneva Shofner of Campbellsville, KY; and Chrystal Sullivan of Valley Station, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Virgil Sprowles in infancy and Lavoy Price. The family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to Zion Separate Baptist Church building fund and may be made at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
