James E. Hadley, age 37 years of the Fairplay Community passed away suddenly Sunday, September 16, 2012 at 4:55pmCT at the Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room in Columbia, KY.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 11amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Elbert Hadley the officiating clergy. Interment in the McClister Cemetery, 4138 Fairplay Road, Fairplay, KY The family will receive friends after 3pmCT, on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.



Pallbearers: David Bryant, Lacy Grant, Billy Hadley, Ben Loy, Joey Smith, and Mark Spoon.

He was born June 12, 1975 in Columbia, Adair County, KY the son of Rev. Elbert and Edith Claywell Hadley of Fairplay, KY. He died Sunday, September 16, 2012, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 37 years, 3 months, and 4 days.

Besides his parents he is survived by his wife: Meggin Rae Price Hadley of Fairplay, KY, and the following:
  • One daughter: Molly Rae Hadley of Fairplay, KY

  • One brother: Matthew Hadley and wife, Tammy of Fairplay, KY

  • One sister: Rita Carter and husband Johnny of Fairplay, KY

  • His father in law and mother in law: Dennis Price and Holly Price of Columbia, KY

  • Sister in law: Amy Rowe and husband Michael of Columbia, KY

  • Five nieces and nephews: Isaac and Isaiah Carter, Ashley Hadley, Abby and Tyler Rowe
James was a member of the Hadley Community Church and was employed as a maintenance worker by the Columbia Housing Authority.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the family toward funeral expenses.
